With his doe grazing nearby, the noble stag, King of the Forest, may grace the hearth of nature-lover and sportsman alike. The fireback has been an indispensable part of the fireplace tradition in Europe since the 15th Century. The colonists carried it to our shores and now you can add that touch of elegance and history to your own fireplace. These firebacks are intended to rest right on the floor, at the back of the hearth. All our firebacks are designed for use with both gas logs and wood-burning fireplaces.
